Manufacture of SADEBO Composite Wear Plates
CHARACTERISTICS
The SADEBO Composite Wear Plates, are metallic plates burning resistant made up of two layers:
- The base plate, which gives tenacity and mechanical resistance
- The contribution layer, which offers burning resistant characteristics
The Base Plate is made up of welding material and faisable to be able to work with normal tools. The contribution layer is a high alloy material composed of Chrome Carbures.
PRODUCTS RANGE
SADEBO offers three Wear Plate types according to different customer applications:
- SADEBO 100 with a hardness matrix 58,0 Rockwell C
- SADEBO 200 with a hardness matrix 62,5 Rockwell C
- SADEBO 300 with a temperature resistance up to 800° C
STRUCTURE CHARACTERISTICS
- Chemical composition: 4,5% C, 28,5% Cr
- Components: 56% Chrome Carbide, 44% Steel alloy Matrix
- Partial duration: Chrome Carbide: 870 Brinell (1.500 vickers) Steel Carbide: 615 Brinell (58 Rockwell C)
- Middle duration: 742 Brinell
The microstructure is made up of a martensite matrix and primary fine carbides of polygonal type equally delivered. It can also have some polygonal carbides of acicular type. This structure concedes high resistance to wear properties.
MOST FRECUENT APPLICATIONS
- Iron and Steel industry: Chutes, Screens, Blast furnace bells, Conveyors…
- Cement Industry: Clinker chutes, Cyclones, Ventilators, Separators…
- Coal firec power stations: Pulverised fuel pipes, Vibratory feeders, Coal Bunkers, Lining…
